Update: Twitter Data Adjusts After A Few Days
Twitter analytics currently show wrong numbers for daily follower totals. Since Friday May 4th, all dates from the 4th onward show the total number of current twitter followers instead of the total followers on the respective date. To note, the total number of followers is correct. However the total number of followers is listed as the total daily followers for every day since 5/4/18.
We manually record Twitter followers daily and created this graph to show the comparison. Twitter analytics shows a flat growth rate from the 4th onward while our chart shows the actual daily uptick of total followers.
Update
Twitter data will update after a few days, however the previous several days will still be flat. Twitter has a disclaimer not to trust their data. We recommend recording your followers on a daily or weekly basis if you want more accurate statistics.
